On a hot summer day,

Could be out fishing,

But instead imma be whipping it up in the kitchen 

First off cracked an egg and it went “plop” as it dropped

Must have woke up feeling brisk,

Ran to my cabinet and pulled out the whisk

I could hear it cry as I was beating it up

Next, knew what I had to do

Fetched the measuring cup,

because I needed some dough to knead

So I stirred the egg with some flour

Mixed it up but it was looking quite sour

So I preheated the oven at 360 degrees

After a while,

Grabbed the dough and stuck it right into it

About an hour later,

Looking so fresh and delicate,

Came out a deliciously baked cake
